Years ago the university did a multi year study of leaving corn in the field through the winter versus drying and storage. What I remember of the study is that the guy who left his corn stand was ahead of the game until after a few years a blizzard and 20 plus inches of snow came along.
The study was done in southwest mn. By the u maybe somebody knows how to find the results.
