central - east central Minnesota -

Jeff@JR Production - 1/19/2019 13:45 Had a couple of appointments yesterday and drove up to Perham, MN it's been many years since I've been in this area. I can't believe all the corn still standing, and I thought our son's operation was in the last place as we just got done on the 11th of January. Big fields everywhere from Motley west along Hwy 10

Could be - less expensive to leave in field to dry down and store, then fall harvesting and everything that goes with that. Price for them is a big deal and so are expenses - that's one way to lessen the expense side of breakeven. I still have 3 or 4 small fields farmed by 2 different guys. Seen the combine in one and the grain was peaking up pretty good (wetter) in the hopper, which surprises me somewhat. Should be dryer and not peak so much by now.
