NEND | I was in the same boat you are in. I went with an online company approved by the IRS and people on this forum (easy2290.com). It literally took me longer to sign up for an account with them than it did to enter the info for my two trucks and have my approved 2290’s laying on my printer. I was concerned because as you, I had mailed my forms in some time ago. My tax preparer said it wouldn’t matter if I did them online too. She explained to me that the online places have the authority from the IRS to approve and file your 2290 for you. It cost me $9.95, I will use them again if I get too close to the deadline in the future. I never seem to find the time to file them in July like I should, doesn’t really take all that long either. | |
