Subject: RE: Spackler Family- Oxycotin

Fresno, California
I had my knees done three months apart, the first two weeks are a little rough, after that I got along pretty well, along with six weeks of therapy.
The only drawback to knee replacement is it hurts like hell to get on your knees, and you have to figure out how to stand up when you go down like working on a truck, those mirrors are great to grab when getting up. I'd do it again compared to the pain of bone grinding on bone. Just make sure you have a good surgeon. the first surgeon I went to was not impressed with, found another surgeon with a great reputation and everything went well.
I wouldn't advise getting both knees done at the same time or to close together, unless you like being miserable. Saw a few old boys that had both knees done the same day and the looked miserable during therapy sessions.
You meet a lot of interesting people at the doctors office and therapy sessions, the old women were the most friendly, they said it looked like my legs had
not seen the sun in 70 years.
