Central Kansas
We have 16 windows, includes 2 sliding patio “French” doors from Pella. They contain a captured small slat blind that is called a zip shade, or something close. They angle two directions, allowing oblique light to pass to the floor, and the other direction pretty much shuts off all light. They also will raise completely exposing the entire triple pane door or window. Have them in this house since it was built 16 years ago this spring. Zero problems and the breakfast nook windows are manipulated daily. Sure helps with summer heat as we have lots of windows in this open-space design and on the east and west sides.

I guess others have had problems with all brands, some hate Pella and love Anderson, others hate Anderson, love Pella. I have only had Pella and we have had good luck, no leaks, no seal failure and they have been through a horrendous hail storm with only cosmetic damage. Just our story here in Kansas where the weather is rarely ideal.’
