Hope you get it fixed up right. The building code and inspections are ok. The inspectors need to look at the whole job not just one spot and call it good. And go on the contractors name. Oh this guy did a good job last time must be okay this time. I have seen lots of handy man specials where that person should be banned from any renovations.
