scmn | Actually, dew appears when the air near a surface is cooled to a temperature lower than the dew point. Dew will not form if the near the surface is the same as the dew point (i.e. if the dew point is 58.0000 degrees and the dry bulb air temperature is 59.0000 degrees and the air is cooled to 58.0000 degrees dew will not form, if cooled to 57.9999 degrees dew will form. The heaviness of a dew is related to how much moisture is removed from the air; fall a little below the dew point and get a light dew, a lot below and get a heavy dew. | |
