Glasgow, Ky | I have the IH 1PR one row picker my grandfather purchased new in 1962. He also bought an elevator withgas motor and a gravity wagon. No more scooping corn. He farmed all his life and never owned more than one tractor snd never owned a pickup truck. If he didnt have the cash he did not buy it other than the farm hr bought in the 30's. He paid it off in the 40's.
Things sure are different now. If I had my choice of when to live I would be hard pressed not to choose then. Hard work then versus stress now. Quality of life is not dependent all the "stuff" we have today.
