Cherokee and Emmetsburg Iowa | I was a mechanic for a major airline in Minneapolis and Anchorage. Working the flight line we would meet incoming flights and do our walkaround inspections and then check the logbooks for any necessary issues. Sometimes when these flights arrived the ground power would not be available immediately for some reason or another and the pilots would leave an engine running for electrical power. On two different occasions I went into the cockpit after the crew had left and passengers unloaded and an engine still running, the crew forgot to shut the engine off even after the ground power was hooked up. |
