EC SoDak | I am happy to see some of these regulations rolled back, it’s gotten rather excessive IMO. From what I’ve gathered, I’m not sure we can roll them back to the level China is at, nor get China to the level we are at. Probably hard for us to even meet in the middle because that’d be a huge and expensive jump for them and the eco/liberal nuts here won’t let us drop that far down.
The tough part for labor, where I’m trying to grasp the a+b=c with some in our country is we hear cries and see action on this $15 minimum wage, yet want to bring work back here..... This countries individual person lives in net debt already (I believe we changed from net savings to debt in the late90s early 2000s), gut tells me they will just further in debt (look how that worked out a decade ago). Benefits are also rising at unsustainable rates as well (increased wages for vaca, health, etc)
It’s an interesting predicament we have found ourselves in....
