| Kind of a follow up question from what I posted A while back. Have a pasture that has a well But the dry years have taken a toll on it. A new little pond was put in a few years ago. Last year tendent was slow to pay, and ask He could take off a little for hauling water, Well didn't want to, so said ok...I finally got Check and about 1/3 was missing !!. Well...so I wrote a letter, saying I needed To raise rent..and that at this point in time I couldn't afford to drill a new well and Plumb it. I said if they were willing, if They would drill and plumb it with My approval (not using the most expensive Driller or solar pumping system), I would Take off what they spent on the bill off The pasture bill...if more than one year Rent, then we'll settle things up on the Second year pasture rent. Well, due to illness, things didn't get Settled properly, so I have the renter Again, no mention of well...and now He calls, saying ponds are low and I need To haul water because he can't. We have no written contracts...and I Never guarantee water, saying you can See what it is.
Punt..pass..or kick ???
