Southern Ohio | Thanks everyone for all of the suggestions that brought to light many good points and sorry for getting back so late to this thread. I don't see myself making any changes to the tractors I already have or getting rid of any of them for a few different reasons that would be a waste of time to explain. The 55hp mfwd is on the smaller side as my baler can make 5x6 bales, I believe, but I always make them quite a bit smaller and keep weight on the rear also so its not a big deal.
I really do think the skid steer might be the ticket as I do my share of different loader work that can be hard on the tractor. I would definitely look for one that has more lifting capacity than the loader tractor though. It will still be a while unless I come across the right deal. Will have to see how the crops do this fall, also. | |
