NW Iowa | Rick, we've been doing some testing with a 600 the past few weeks with some bulky rations...a dry cow ration with straw/silage put us around 8k total lbs, I believe that was about 1500 lbs of straw in the load. Another was just silage and stalks - we tried an 8k lb load (was about 3k of stalks) - it was way too much. That load would have been better in the 4-6k lb range. Hay inclusion rates would be similar...I think that we say around 30% max. A finishing ration in this box is 16k comfortably.
