Subject: Who is paying the tariffs

west central MN

If we do start charging tariffs it doesn't look like it would effect China too much. 6 weeks ago they where buying beans for about $10.50 and now they would buy beans for $8.40 and add 25% tariffs to get them to a price of about $10.50. It doesn't seem like they would be the ones stuck paying the 25%. The farmers took that problem away from them already by taking a 25% pay cut. If China cancels beans now because of the tariffs are they really cancelling because of the tariffs or because they could buy those beans a couple of $'s a bushel less and still pay the tariff and have less money in the beans?
