Nw Iowa
We have been very blessed here on Mn-Ia line for last number of years where we farm but this year we have really struck out. A lot of unpriced old and new crop here as a lot of crop didn't go into the ground last part of may and people were scared to sell what could be prevent plant. Also reluctant to sell old for same reason. It has snowed or rained non stop here since first week of April. Some of the earlier planted corn looks pretty good other than drownouts but late planted corn started out good but just went into reverse with these last couple weeks heavy rains. (10-14in) caught another 1 1/2 to 2 1/2 again Sunday morning as holes are as full as ever. Even though we have had xcellant crops last couple of years I know margins have been extremely tight. This year is really going to bit our local economy.
