The entire growing season is important, not just augusts.
IL yield in 2014 at 200 adjusted for trend was actually better than 2017 at 201. 2016 not far behind at 197. So 3 of the last 4 years more less at 200, but you still want to say 180ish is trend or avg? I will admit the last few years have been very good, but satistixally not "near perfect" comparing to years like 09 or 04.
IL as a whole state had a much better start this year than last, and much more ample rainfall to this point. It doesn't mean it ends up better, but on July 2 there is more potential than last year, at least 10-15bpa in my estimation.
