Near perfect last year? Did you forget about the 15" of rain in late April and record replant? Then all the posts about short corn tasseling? Then how crazy hot it was for 2 weeks at pollination? The only part of last year that was perfect was augusts. What happens if it's the opposite this year? I really don't know.


Sorry your little area of se Ill doesn’t matter in the entire yield picture just like my county didn’t in 2015 at 85bu and the worst in Ill didn’t.

Hot no. 27 nights under 70 in July and and every one in August. Our late May planted corn yielded the same or better as April corn.

It rained across the south and most of the Midwest. It was as close to a perfect year as you could draw. Somebody always gets left out.

Add some heat this year I doubt a 175 is attainable. Not a disaster in the cards.
