What? You must be in northern Minnesota to see a forecast like that. Here in central corn belt hot and continued hot
No. Presumably by your handle, I am in the same state you are. Those are the NWS highs for the 7 day here. Also, if you have been pounded, got yellow corn and beans from too much water, you want warmer than normal weather so those guys are hoping for the heat. So hurt some - help others = avg national yield. But yield does not equal price.
There are some problems with a couple of the weather models. JB at Weatherbell has been harping on it all year, how one or two of the models have been "tweaked" somehow and cannot find any cool air anywhere over any land masses. If you believed those models thus far this growing season it would be really hot and dry. But it takes the battle of the air masses to generate moisture which has been pretty abundant the last 60 days. But those models for whatever reason can't find the cold air for the battle to occur. So they have been busting repeatedly. It's been warm yes - but warm and wet is different than warm and dry. And it appears these long range forecasts - at least recently - have been based on these models. If a change is due, maybe we go to cooler and drier into August. Time will tell.
