I’m sure he knows the value- it’s just that you would be paying $1500 for an opinion that a bank would ignore and make the buyer pay for again. But if this is strictly for personal use and you trust his opinion then that is probably going rate for an appraisal for that type of farm- maybe even a little on the cheap side.
