Way back in 69 my dad bought a new GMC 3/4 ton. It had leafs in back. The next year a neighbor bought a 70 Chevy 3/4 ton. It had coils in back. Both were 2WD. The talk was GMC’s had leafs and Chevys had coils. I think there was more to it than that.
I believe your right, 3/4 ton GMC had leaf rear springs while chevy had rear trailing arms with coil springs. was that way until the new body style 73's came out. |
