The Northern part was under British Command so many Americans don’t associate our units fighting there. My dads unit the 692nd Field Artillery was one of those units. They actually used British 25 pounder guns instead of the 105 Howitzers they had brought over. There was a shortage of 105 ammo in that sector was the reason.
