Call the guy from a different number, tell him you want to buy some fence posts. Set up a meeting and be ready with a camera to get his license plate, etc. How recognizable is your voice? Might have to get someone else to make the call if he would recognize your voice. If he's a scammer he won't be able to resist getting another mark like he just got you.
