Is your drill actually grounded? I.e. sitting on the ground? If not, then I doubt you're getting a ground from it. Is the drill hooked up to a tractor? It could possibly be grounding stray voltage from the DC system on a tractor. That is, if the ground on the barn is good. Just something else to check.
