so how is hospice financed?

Hospice here as far as I know is run like a end of life sanctuary where you go and stay until you pass on ,all meds too reduce pain ,family services provided,ect. I am not aware that they do any "in home" services..... Never have heard nothing but praise for them and never heard of families being "billed"


Before going to hospice, the family has to come to grips with it being comfort care ONLY. The patient is going to die, generally soon, but there is no hope. Their job is to make it comfortable for the patient.

Traditional Medical care aims to keep the patient alive, (cure them, treat them) Sometimes the Medical folks are slow to "let go" of the idea there is hope.
