Nw Iowa | Yes I was pretty disappointed after talking to fed crop agent as I remember pp being alittle better deal. I think even at 85 coverage it is only at 55% ( could be 50, have it wrote down at the office) anyway with some pretty high yields payment will be 350-375. If no fert or nitrogen down that wouldn't be so bad but most fert fall applied here. Not complaining as we have dodged bullet for quite a few years but still always pretty rough when you can't get your crop planted timely. Even if it works out and we can get crop in the ground it seems like the whole year is behind. Just takes a lot of the fun out. I don't know what is worse a wet fall or a wet spring. (I guess after thinking about it I will take the wet spring, at least we are fighting weather in a long sleeve shirt, not a snowmobile suit just hope one doesn't lead into another) | |
