| Last week finished gasoline produced was 9,974 million barrels per day of which 0.923 million barrels was ethanol where as the total fuel oil, jet fuel and residual oil was 7.22 million barrels per day so the gasoline was about 56% of product, not counting the ethanol. Furthermore, Typically, US crude produces about 20 gallons of gasoline per barrel or 47% so if anything we need more gasoline than that which our crude produces.
So if anything, blending more ethanol will help us produce a better ratio of finished gasoline to production. | |
