| Sat on jury for an aggregated sexual assault of a minor.
Hated to say not guilty ( sure felt the guy was guilty of something). Police chief didn’t even investigate. Gave the girl a form to fill out and take to another agency, in which she then recanted her story. Then filed complaint again and was sent to different agency. Saw video of interview she gave at second agency. Seemed like she was coached. Girl claimed step father done it during Middle of April during the week and during the day. His residence was 100 miles from where she went to school. She said she wasn’t in school that week. Teacher and principal showed attedance records saying she was in school. All there was for evidence was her testimony and the testimony of the principle, teacher and chief of police.
Btw the chief said the reason he didn’t investigate was because he was involved in other cases. ( the joke was he was busy giving out tickets to water restriction violators). We ended up with a hung jury 1 guilty. Never heard what the out come for the defendant was. | |
