Subject: RE: younger generation not concerned about GMO's

Wyoming

The only people who are really "worried" about GMO's are middle-aged,  upper-middle-class to rich white women.

These are the same people who freak out when they hear something about radiation, children learning how to shoot guns, etc.

I've talked with lots of younger people about GMO's, and most young folks are all for GMO's - as long as there is testing and some thought given to issues of "what happens when it becomes a weed?" etc. They have some pretty common-sense concerns. The kids raised on farms and ranches give lots of thought to the issue of "what happens when it starts growing where I don't want it?" - mostly because most of these kids were made to pull weeds by Mom & Dad when they were younger.

The well-to-do middle aged white women? No amount of science or data will change their minds.
