Northeastern Pa. | My neighborhood is in deep morning this week and for a long time to come. Two farm families lost their 19 year old (his birthday was Tuesday) son/grandson to a blood clot letting loose. He attended Cobleskill College in the Jd. tech program. I can't begin to imagine the pain they are going through. My wife and I attended the viewing and it was heart wrenching for sure. His grandfather is a very close friend of ours and said he held it together until all the student techs in uniform came through the line. They came over 100 miles on a charter bus. Tuesday would have been his 19th birthday so his parents sat all the farm tractors out along the highway with balloons tied to them. Our local town put balloons out too. I have a grandson the same age so it really hits home. Been a long week alone in the tractor for all of us. Please hug your kids and all your loved ones as you never know what the future brings. | |
