Thumb of Michigan
Marquette Michigan has had some surges of retirees the last few years. A number of reasons for that I guess, in no particular order: 4 season outdoor stuff to do, a very good hospital, low crime, and plenty of shopping. I think many in agriculture are tending to retire at ages that would be traditional years ago, while many baby boomers not in ag are able to hang it up sometimes in their 50's. They generally have more active retirements the first few years at that age vs what I plan to have if I ever choose to retire.
