I think the noise cancelling rating is for the mic and not the ear piece.
I should add that I could hear the B450 on the 4020 if I turned the volume up without plugging my opposite ear, but when the tractor was shut off the volume was really loud; when I plugged my opposite ear I was able to get by with a lower speaker volume. The noise cancellation of the ear piece is not as good hearing protection devices but is a lot better than nothing.
