That's what mi was thinking. When my mother livedacoss the road her antenna was on top of the house. The wind wiuld rock the antenna and pull the screws loose and it would leak. I built a bracket on the corner of the porch and mounted the antenna just high enough to clear the roof. She got good reception so I won't need it to high. So far the cell phone is working fine.
