At medium grain depths like you're using, the inline centrifugal is the best choice. Axial has a tendency to leak pressurized air at the middle of the fan when operating with back pressure. Plain centrifugal can actually overload the motor at moderate amounts of back-pressure. The centrifugal really begins to shine as the height of the grain column increases but that's not what you are describing.
