Subject: RE: The dairy thing

New Enterprise,Pa.
Milked with my dad for 5 years and then took the farm over in 77 and still at it for 46 years. Went through the 80's. Bearly. Seen ups and downs along the way and how times have changed but are really changing now. My plan is to transition my dairy operation to a beef operation over the next 5 years at most. My son doesn't want to dairy but has a growing repair and mud truck business along with doing the field operations for me but is interested in the beef end when I decide I've had enough. I just hope that there will always be room for a family dairy operation for those that want that. If not I'm afraid a lot of communities will suffer greatly from the mega dairies if that's what it comes to. My 2 cents.
