| Lol that very thought keeps me up at night! I would not advise trying to hold fresh calves on a Hotwire. I've got 5 strand barb around the field and last fall had a newly arrived set of western bawlers buckle the pen gate in the middle of the night. I watched them bounce off the fence twice as a group. It held and paid for itself right then and there. I've made a commitment to grazing covers and residue and made a good fence before I ever turned a critter out. | |
