my "retirement" has made great returns since 2008, when I was lucky enough to have almost all of it in the bond market
that having been said, I have missed out on some money recently too, because as it has been going up here recently (last 6 months), I have been slowly transitioning money back into bonds, time will tell if that is the right or wrong decision.
