Zero or near-zero interest rates bring capital improvements to production technologies, more competition among producers, lower commodity prices. Have academics figured that out yet?
In the mean time, bubbles in real estate and equities gurgle away. Wheat and oil prices aren't low because of a shortage of eurodollars, they are low because of supply and demand, mostly supply.
