EC SoDak | You are right. I wrote in crop talk earlier that from Mid July to now, I’ve probably received roughly 20” of rain. This is a county that normally receives 26” in a year. If anyone could have predicted that would happen again....
What seemed to really help and scare the crap out of me at the same time was the cool Aug and Sept (with the late moisture you mentioned). We aren’t out of the woods yet, awful lot of rain the last 2 weeks and cold going forward. But an early frost would have been a bad deal. I still can’t believe how many don’t have blacklayered corn yet. | |
