No, that was further west in what most call the “new” or “fringe” Cornbelt. If you split the state into 1/3s east to west, the major drought was the central part for row crops. The west 1/3 was too but doesn’t really have much for row crops. The eastern 1/3 definitely got dry for a period, but it started raining in the later part of July and into August.
