| I was wrong about the new highs every 7 years. Just major highs. I musta had something else in my head, because the 7 years doesn't look accuate either. Took us 35 years to take out the 73 bean high. Let's use $9 as a major high in the price plateau from 73 to 2007. Crossed $9 in 73, 74, 76, 80, 83, 84?, 88, 97, 2004, then 2007. $9 seems to be the new floor. $14 would be the new $9? In that 35 year span, we spent very little time over $9, but opportunities did present themselves. We've hit $14, 6 out of the last 10 years. I am not predicting $14 beans. Just think its prudent to consider upside risk in our marketing plans. Options may be the way to play it. | |
