I tried them several ways, they look best in the best soil, look good with a little fertilizer in any soil, smaller in poor soil with no fertilizer.

Covers the soil
Scavanges for food which will give off as rotted compost
less weeds
Seems to be less damaging insects after but just andecdotal on my part
Best thing is a lot more notill corn and possibly other crops, have seen or heard 10-40 bu more corn following them

Paul I don't know, they might be as good, I haven't tried them, maybe someone else knows. Someone must have planted forage radish for livestock, notilled corn behind them and said Voila!
