Get a forage analysis done on your hay and work up a ration with a fixed amount of hay and use corn to make up the energy. Throw some distillers I'm there if you need protein. If you are buying th corn might just want to look at distillers. You buy the protein and get energy for free. Be careful with the distillers on cows though if there are toxins in the grain the process will concentrate them in th end product and could cause reproductive issues if you feed a very much for too long! Add an ionophore into your supplement. Claim up toca 10% gain in feed efficiency and will coat you $.03+/- a day doesn't take much fees savings to get that back.
