South Central Iowa | I saw that today. I hadn't heard we were suppose to have that smoke haze though. Glad I wasn't going crazy.
Here is the NOAA low temp map from the link 1234 posted above. Maybe a light freeze around Aberdeen, South Dakota and parts of far northern Minnesota and ND. Otherwise it shows over 40 most everywhere else. So it appears that on the coldest night, for the brief time it is suppose to be low, most everyone will be 8-16 degrees above freezing. Also worth mentioning; if it did get to 32 for an hour somewhere, would it actually be enough to kill the plant? Probably not. Just as something doesn't freeze instantly upon putting it in the freezer, I doubt whether that would be cold enough, long enough to rupture cell walls and terminate the plant. I know when I want a freeze to help me harvest a weedy soybean field, I usually need it to "hard freeze" down to 28 or so for a night to actually do it.
