I think that is the way it happens on this site also. After the USDA gives us their first estimate then a lot of nat posters come out about 3 to 10 bu. under USDA. I bet most of the posters that give us their guess have seen less then 3% of the corn in the Midwest so they are getting their guess from somewhere and they just think it has to be lower then USDA.
