Subject: RE: tip-back on corn ears

SE Iowa
Checked some coc this a.m. About half of stalks have an ear about 2/3rds of normal size, the rest of the plants ears did not develop, they silked and then stopped development. Probably looking at 60 bu if we catch a shower to get this past popcorn size kernals. A lot of plants fired to tassel. This is on good ground that went 240 last year. I believe this area has received the least amount of rain in the county according to other farmers I've talked to and climate corp. Have some ground west and south of me that picked up a few tenths more and it made a difference. However that corn is on bean stubble.
