| Pray for periodic wet, rainy spells through harvest. Many area had a log drawn out planting season, which should lead somewhat to a lag in maturity of the later planted crops. If the harvest comes in 'in spurts', and commercials have 6-10 day stretches of outbound, with little inbound, they can move a lot in short amount of time. If they can use their 'easy storage' 2 or 3 times during harvest, it goes a long ways toward putting the crop away. Between 2 and 2.5 billion bushels gets used between the beginning of harvest and 2 month later when its getting wrapped up. If the second half gets extended 2-3 weeks it makes a lot of difference. | |
