Subject: National average arguments

Nebraska aka the boondocks
So 2012 was 123 and last year was 174, and now we are arguing over yields from 158 to it would seem all the way to 170... I hear many guys say dry but not as bad as 2012 and others say average to aph but still way les than last year. Well I must say this all doesn't make much sense. There are 50 bushels between 2012 and 16 and we are only discussing the last few bushels at the top. The only rationale to me is that 145 bushels is the new 123. Maybe this is true but a lot of the same hybrids are still around, in fact there is a lot of pioneer 1151 and 1498 still planted here and one guy over south has his whole farm in 33d47. Is 2004s crop now a total fiasco? I actually had better yields in 2004 than I have any time recently. Something just seems eskew.
