What I do is make sure I take load lots that don't need sorting, get them there right before they will sell. I will feed a couple oz salt a few days ahead of time just to get sodium levels up and make sure they are hydrated. I will feed a small amount of ration before they leave. All of these things should help the transition to the feedlot go smoothly.
