I am in the grow it, bin it, sell it, buy it, feed it camp.
Right now I am selling good corn and buying gotten corn and distillers back. Few years back it was soy hulls.
Back in the $7 corn days it was calcium oxide treated corn stalks. Did not chop much corn silage, sold the corn, baled the stalks and treated them. One ag talker rode my ass about it. But it payed the bills.
Just need to do a little math. Sometimes byproducts work sometimes not.
It was probably myself 5 head and I apologize if it was-I still dont like those treated corn stalks-I tried stalks and chicken manure back in the 70's-guess bad memories
