Whether purebred CED EPDs "work" or not seems to me to be at least partially a function of the breeder who they come from. Personally CED is the first number I look at. It includes a lot more than just BW.
A bull with the new genetically-enhanced EPDs from a breeder who believes in EPDs has a very useful CED number.
